German festivals and events run the gammet. Beer (such as Oktoberfest in Munich) and Wine fests ( such as Rheingauer Weinwoche in Wiesbaden) are amongst the best in the world. German volksfests are great neighborhood festivals that bring sections of small cities, towns, villages together to celebrate the end or beginning of a season. The fall festivals or spectacular as are those in the spring. The Christmas Festivals/Markets are a lot of fun also.
