I don't want to sound like a meanie -- but Hillbilly, if you're going to travel outside the US, you should eat that country's food. At least TRY it. You can have McD's and KFC ANYTIME at home -- but how often do you have a great meal of schitzel and spaetzle?

Food is an important part of every country's culture, and you're missing out on part of the experience by only sticking to what you know. It's not just the food -- it's also the experience of eating in a foreign restaurant, their traditions and customs. If you eat at McDonald's, you're only going to be around other Americans. And what fun is THAT?

P.S. From my experience, the food in places like McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc., does NOT taste the same in other countries as it does in the US. Yes, it's McDonald's food, but they often use different ingredients and/or cooking methods. So it's not necessarily the same, anyway.
